Dr. Michael Boyd
Michael Boyd is an archaeologist and specialist in the early prehistory of the Cyclades and the wider Aegean. He is currently the co-director of excavations on Keros, and a Senior Research Affiliate at The Cyprus Institute. He holds an MA from the University of Liverpool, and a PhD from the University of Edinburgh.
He has conducted geophysical survey at numerous sites in Greece, Bulgaria and Albania and has worked at the University of Cambridge, British School at Athens and the University of Sheffield. He has authored, co-authored and edited numerous books, volumes and other publications on archaeology, with special focus on the Cycladic early bronze age and the Mycenaean funerary practices. His main research interests lie in the prehistoric Aegean where he has worked in the Peloponnese and Cyclades.
